Welcome to the Logan, Iowa Cub and Boy Scout web site!

Unit 85, Mid-America Council, Ohwahnasee Distric is located in Logan, Iowa. The unit started on June 8, 1922, as Troop #1 with FW Kennedy, FH McCabe, LW Logan , William L Yeaman, and RE Adams. as leaders. The unit continues to be a success due to the fine leadership and parental involvement. Sherry Frazier is the Pack (Cub Scouts) scoutmaster and John Frazier is the Troop (Boy Scouts) scoutmaster.

The Pack (Cub Scouts) meets every week, except for Tiger Cubs, who only meet once a month. Meetings are held in the Community Center in Logan.

The Troop meets once a week and has regularly scheduled camping expeditions - even in the winter!

Interested in learning more? Click on Links to look through the Mid-America Council's web site, as well as the National Boy Scout web site. And then contact the den leader for your boy's age (click on Contacts). The boys and young men have a lot of fun in Scouts and learn leadership skills, camping skills, and are guided to be a successful member of society. Through the fund raising events, such as selling popcorn, and participating in a soup feed, the Pack and Troop members meet new people, raise money for the Unit, and get involved in the community. The Unit also participates in an annual food drive, collecting food from the local community and donating it to the food bank.

The Boy Scouts camped at Camp Cedars the week of July 6th.

Fun in Scouting!
